13 innovation collaborative projects are entering the UFO Support Programme with € 1.5 million funding

We are happy to announce the results of the First UFO Open call for innovation collaborative projects.

UFO (Emerging indUstries new value chains boosted by small flying objects) aims to support European SMEs in the development of innovative products and services integrating new Embedded Key Enabling Technology Solutions (digital technologies, microelectronics, nanotechnologies, sensors and Exploitation solutions) in the Small Flying Objects: Drones, High Attitude Platform Systems and Small Satellites answering the challenges of 6 Emerging Industries: Blue Growth, Digital Creative & Gaming, Mobility Technologies, Climate, Environment, Finance & Insurance.

The open call was closed on February 18th 2021. We received 52 project proposals applying for 3 types of vouchers: Feasibility, Market & Business Development and Demonstration activities. The applications were coming from the 5 partners’ countries – Bulgaria, France, Greece, Romania and United Kingdom.

The winners of the first Open Call for innovation collaborative projects will receive up to €60,000 for feasibility and up to €150 000 for demonstration projects, alongside technical support from industry experts and business mentoring, networking, access to funding to support the project sustainability and market realisation.
